“Dumot” is a graphic novel about a man imploding in his corner of the corporate world. It presents fragments of that man’s aggression: his inner demons, state of mind, and physical being as he tries to make sense of the things inside his head while dealing with the rigors of working in a challenging atmosphere.

Dumot featured at Designers of Tumblr

It was a long shot, but Designersof.com just posted a submission of mine (from the pages of Dumot). Thank you!

“…quick, precisely-aimed bursts of language are perfect for rendering literary art to a generation now more used to reading FB statuses, Tweets, instant messages and inter-office memos sent online.”

A nightmare comes alive.  Yeah, Dumot can double as a coloring book too. I didn’t do this though, but I like it.

It’s been a long day.

so a good friend showed me some tumbler posts
about Dumot and Girl Trouble…

suffice its is to say then,
that seeing them made me feel
warm and fuzzy inside

it’s good to know that people are open
to new things out there
so rest assured
I’ll be pushing myself
to making more…
different stuff

sometimes I wish I could see the things
in the readers’ heads too

since half the magic
is in how the reader interprets the medium…

ah well,

feedback from readers
whether good or bad is always welcome

but even just merely posting an image or line
that tells me
someone’s chosen to immerse themselves
in the worlds I’ve built in my head
makes it worth creating more

whoever, wherever you are
and whatever pants you’re wearing

thanks,
alan
