Ask me anything
Sharing is a lesson best learned by giving. I actually can’t explain why yet, but it’s quite a good opening sentence for the description to this album.
I had never given talks like this before or given them much thought even, but I do realize the importance of sharing a point of view on things.
Thus in giving, much is gained in return (Ahhh, there’s the explanation for the intro right there. Biri nays).
Last Aug 17-18, 2010 UST held an event entitled “Literature from Shakespeare to Bob Ong: Bridging the Divide between the Popular and Canonical” at the Thomas Aquinas Research Center Auditorium.
An attempt to build this bridge was done through the invitation of Visual Print Enterprises and its published authors and artists. Everyone was asked to talk about their work and to share their point of view about this metaphorical bridge.
I thought of making a presentation that contained an explanation of the creative process (or creative non-process) about Girl Trouble, and my perspective on the importance of ideas and the world of storytelling.
The title of my presentation was Bad Ideas Are Great.
Feel free to tag and re-post. :)
Talking to the college kids at UST was a mini-blast. Thanks those who attended the talks at TARC, UST. Got some very insightful questions from the audience, so insightful that dinamihan ko talaga ang kain ko ng gulay for lunch. Salamat din sa tech ng TARC and to the event staff.
I hope if any of them get wind of this post, and have more questions regarding the stuff I kept rambling about, I’d be more than happy to address whatever concern there may be. SRSLY.
Anyway, thanks for inviting us and having the patience to sit (or sleep through) the thing. Hanlaki ng mga bunganga ng mga nakatulog kanina. Pero nakangiti pa din. HUWEHEHEH. Which leads me to apologize though, for disappearing around 3PM. I fell asleep. Naantok na me.
Should there be a next time, all yaz got to do is ask. Thanks again!
UPDATE: Jun Balde won’t be taking his AM slot, so Siege Malvar will have the 9AM spot and I will take the 10AM sked. See you guys! Pasensya na kung medyo makulit. :D
